Do you suffer from stretched skin and excess fat around the midsection that does not respond to exercise or diet?
Dr. Brian Kobienia in Minneapolis, MN, can perform an abdominoplasty to give you a toned, lean midsection.
Why should I consider a tummy tuck by Dr. Kobienia?
The Benefits of a Tummy Tuck
Eliminate Fat and Excess Skin
This procedure can remove several pounds of unresponsive fat from the midsection. Dr. Kobienia can also tighten abdominal skin for a tighter, fitter appearance.
Increase Your Self-Confidence
One of the most important benefits of cosmetic surgery is the increased self-confidence patients can experience. A tummy tuck provides a toned, slim abdomen that diet and exercise alone cannot always achieve. Patients can feel confident about their bodies, wear the clothes they want, and feel good about showing off their midsection in swimwear.
Relieve Back Pain
Some women experience abdominal muscle separation after childbirth. The lower back attempts to compensate for weakened stomach muscles, resulting in back pain. The procedure can tighten the abdominal muscles and provide relief.
Improve Overall Health
Patients can experience an array of health benefits as a result of tightening their abdominal muscles. A tummy tuck can improve posture, treat urinary incontinence, and provide relief from ventral hernias. Meanwhile, studies suggest that abdominoplasty patients are more prone to maintain long-term weight loss after the operation.

"My results were amazing!!"
I was very nervous to go in for a cosmetic consultation. Dr. Kobienia came into the exam room and he immediately put me at ease. He was very profession, kind and had a sense of humor. I felt completely comfortable with him. I felt selfish before the appointment for even considering to have plastic surgery. After having children, I wanted to feel good about my body again...All the exercise in the world can't tighten up your skin after having three babies! When I left his office the guilt was at a minimum and I was more excited than ever! I came home and explained to my husband the details of my appointment, he too was excited for me!...View On Google
My experience with Dr. Kobienia was the best I could have hoped for. He explained all my options in terms I could understand and made sure all questions were answered. He is very precise in all he does! My results were amazing!! I would highly recommend Dr. Kobienia for any cosmetic procedure!!View On Google
Full Tummy Tuck vs. Mini Tummy Tuck
Full (Traditional) Tummy Tuck
During a full tummy tuck, the plastic surgeon makes incisions across the lower abdomen and around the navel. Through these access points, the muscles are tightened and loose abdominal skin and fat are removed. If needed, the navel is reconstructed to achieve a natural-looking outcome, and the incision is closed with sutures. This procedure addresses both the upper and lower abdomen. All incisions are carefully placed to minimize visible scarring.
Mini Tummy Tuck
A mini tummy tuck can be ideal for patients who need to remove a smaller amount of abdominal fat and skin. A mini-abdominoplasty is quicker and less invasive than a full tuck, requiring the plastic surgeon to make a much smaller incision on the bikini line. The mini abdominoplasty is best suited for removing excess fat and skin below the belly button and does not target the full length of the abdominal wall. Like its traditional counterpart, a mini-abdominoplasty is performed as an outpatient procedure, but the average recovery time is much shorter.
What Does a Tummy Tuck Cost?
The average tummy tuck costs about $6,000, but this varies based on the extent of treatment you need and other factors. During a consultation, Dr. Kobienia can provide an estimate, and his staff can explain convenient financing options.

Am I a Good Candidate?
Do I need to lose weight?
Abdominoplasty is not intended for patients wishing to lose weight, nor is it a substitute for weight loss. Patients who wish to undergo a tummy tuck should be close to their desired body weight (within 20 pounds). Additionally, patients should remain at a stable weight for at least two months prior to the procedure.
Will I become pregnant in the future?
Abdominoplasty is not recommended for patients who intend on having children after the procedure. Pregnancy will undermine the results of an abdominoplasty by once again stretching the abdominal walls and other tissue.
Am I in good health?
Elective surgery is never recommended for people who suffer from poor health or have a severe illness. It is best to maintain a healthy diet, exercise, and quit smoking if you are considering plastic surgery.
What are my goals for the procedure?
It is important to have realistic expectations for the surgery. Cosmetic surgery is not a cure-all for body insecurities. Ideal candidates will understand that the procedure can produce amazing enhancements, but it has limitations.
"Patients should plan to recover at home, get plenty of rest, and avoid strenuous physical activity."
